....You're in the RIGHT place.
Do any of the following apply to you?
- "My labs are "normal", but I still feel terrible..."
- "I've been to multiple doctors, but I'm still looking for answers."
- "I want an alternative approach to get off the medication merry-go-round."
- "I have tried to lose weight but nothing seems to work."
....You're in the RIGHT place.
Dr. Jennifer Welch is the founder of Iowa Functional Health.

She is a constant student and holds several certifications and is in pursuit of more.

She started her own practice right out of school in 2008, having a "traditional" chiropractic office for just a few months before specializing in nutrition and neurological issues. She recalls in school that there was a list of conditions "you may see at some point in your career" but to her surprise, many of those conditions walked into her office within her first 6 months of practice!
In 2017, she herself experienced peripheral neuropathy of her right arm. Knowing symptoms meant her nerves were in peril, she quickly tried to address the pain from other holistic providers in the area. When those approaches failed to help, she reinvented how she addressed peripheral neuropathy in order to help herself. She has been freed of her peripheral neuropathy pain and now has a focused approach for other neuropathy sufferers.
She lives with her husband, Tom (also an ISU grad), and their two growing children on a small acreage outside of Des Moines with a few outdoor chickens and a cool cat. They love to travel as family and cruise to new destinations.
Interesting fact: Dr. Jennifer has lived in London twice and traveled through several parts of Europe by herself while on summer break as a student at ISU. (That experience taught her she could conquer almost anything!) Her husband, Tom, traveled Europe alone as well that same summer, so their "bucket list" is to go back around Europe together some day.
